Error Description: LASER UNIT POLYGON MOTOR FAILURE

Possible Solution: Remove Rear Cover , Disconnect P400 , on the Engine Control Board.

Inspect both connectors to determine they are fully engaged as a unit. Re-engage, if necessary.

Carefully reinsert the plugs into their joint socket and FIRMLY seat them.

No- Replace the Developer Housing Assembly

Error Description: Accumulator Belt HOME POSITION TOOK TOO LONG.

Possible Solution See Below

Ensure the Accumulator Belt shipping restraints have been removed.

Enter Service Diagnostics Mode

Run the “Clear Tech Rep Fault”

Lower the Main Release Lever and return to the upright position to reestablish electrical

connections to the belt.

Open the RH Door and defeat the interlock switch.

Look for rotation of the Accumulator Belt during the following test.

Enter Adjustments / Calibrations menu.

Run the “Belt Edge Learn” test.

If the problem persists, replace the Engine Control Board

If no, replace the fuser

If yes ,

1. Measure the resistance between fuser connector P600-1 and P600-12.

2. Does the resistance measure 20 Ohms or less?

If no, replace the fuser

Error Description: Install or Reseat Fuser, Code 41

Possible Solution:

1. Turn OFF power and remove the FuserAssembly.

2. Measure the resistance between the fuser connector P600-4 and P600-6.

3. Does the resistance measure between 30 K and 190 K Ohms?

If no, replace the fuser

If yes,

1. Reinstall the fuser assembly.

2. Enter service diagnostics.

3. From the Sensor Tests run the Fuser Temperature test.

4. Is the temperature indicated approximately 165o C?

If no, replace the fuser



Note:

If this failure reoccurs three times successively, an Engine NVRAM value is set

preventing further printer use until the Clear Tech Rep Fault is performed.

Replace the Ink with Xerox Ink. If problem persists Test the ink melt heaters.

Run the appropriate Ink Melt [1, 2, 3,4] Heater test in diagnostic menu.

Replace the Ink Loader.

Error Description: Laser unit failure

Possible Solution:

Check the Laser Unit connections. Are P/J15 and P/J151 connected? If not connect them.

Remove and reseat ROS Harness connector J151 to the Laser Unit.

If the error persist, replace the following parts. Laser unit engine control board.

Error Description: Fuser Fan Failure

Possible Solution:

Check the Fuser Fan for damage. Remove the Front Cover.

Check the Fuser Fan connection. If the connection is loose reconnect it.

Test the Fuser Fan.

Run the Service Diagnostics Fuser Fan test.

If problem persist replace the fuser fan..

Possible Solution: Cycle printer power. Does the error persist? If so, go to the next step.

Is P/J144 on the EEPROM Board properly seated and defect free? If yes , go to the next step.

If no, replace the eeprom board.

Check the Main Drive Assembly for damage.

Check the Main Motor connection.
